Accelerate your future with training for a rewarding career as a professional technician in automotive / diesel and industrial technology. UTI’s combined programs cover everything from foreign and domestic automotive technology to Power & Performance with Hot Rod U and Super Street. In addition, you’ll get hands-on training on some of the world’s most powerful diesel engines, including Detroit Diesel, Cummins, Caterpillar and International. You’ll work on it all, from preventive maintenance to computer controls and high-tech electronics including air brakes, hydraulics, even transport refrigeration.

Ford Accelerated Credential Training (FACT) - Elective
This valuable elective is available to you as an upgrade to any of UTI or NTI’s automotive programs. This Ford-specific curriculum provides exactly what you need to become a Ford-credentialed technician: hands-on training on everything from electronics and climate control systems to anti-lock brakes, steering, suspension, ignition systems and more. Add the Ford FACT elective course to upgrade your training and boost your marketability when it’s time to land that first job as a UTI graduate.

Toyota Professional Automotive Technician (TPAT) - Elective
The TPAT elective program, available only at UTI’s Glendale Heights, Illinois campus, uses a Toyota-specific curriculum and boosts your employment opportunities at Toyota dealers. TPAT graduates have access to more than 300 dealers in a 14-state area surrounding the Glendale Heights campus. In addition, UTI can help you find employment at any one of the more than 1400 Toyota or Lexus dealerships throughout the country.* In addition, Toyota promotes and maintains an industry-leading technician certification program. Upon completing the TPAT program, you’ll be well on your way to certification which you can achieve by successfully passing two ASE exams, a basic skills exam and completing an externship at Toyota or Lexus dealership.

Collision Repair & Refinishing Technology Program

Take your collision repair and refinishing career to the next level by adding the Toyota Professional Collision Technician elective to your UTI training program. You’ll expand your education with specialized training for Toyota and Lexus products and have the opportunity to earn a Toyota factory-certified technician designation.
